There is a blessed well in Newhall.

There is a blessed well in Newhall.
It is called St John's well. A lot of people go there every year in the month of June. Some people get cured there.
People usually leave something after them when they are leaving the blessed well. The well is near a lake. People do their rounds and say the rosary when they go there.
There is a holy eel under a rock in the well and who ever sees him will get his request. Various diseases are cured there. When a lame man gets cured he leaves his crutch after him as a sign that he was cured.
The well is in the parish of Clare Castle. A lot of people go there every year.
