  1. The name of my townland is Crogane. Woora is the name of my parish. Upper Bunratty is the name of my Barony. There are eight houses in my townland. Some are slatted and some are thatched. My townland got its name from the number of crags in it. There is one man over seventy years living in my townland. His name is John O`Dea, Crogane, Ennis, Co. Clare, Ireland. There are no remains of old houses to be seen but there is an old road across our hills, there is grass growing there now but the wall remains to be seen. My mother said that there were nine houses close together there. The land in my townland is fairly good. There are some big crags in it. There are no special names given to the rivers or lakes. We have no stories about any of them.
