"Ancient remains in this district."There is a stone inside the abbey gate ,and ornaments drawn out on it.There is a horseshoe cut out on it because the owners of the grave are black-smiths.
There is also old remains in Killdrum ,where there is a row of stones set closely together .Ogham is cut into the stone.
Every person who is buried in abbey has a headstone so that their people would know their grave ,either a cross set down in the ground or a flag over the grave.
There is a brown stone in Corbetts field.it was brought there by ice-bergs.(continues on next page)- Collector
