- There is a large rock in a field adjoining our land in Feenagh, that is called Carraig an Phíobaire, or the Piper's Rock. It is so called because long ago it was here the piper sat to play for the country dances. All the neighbouring boys and girls came and danced here around the rock.
The neighbouring houses were so closely clustered together as to form a village, but this was entirely demolished by a cruel landlord named Thomas Frost. - You are not logged in, but you are welcome to contribute a transcription anonymously.
