- The fame of Fr Frawley as a great priest was known far and near. He was a great sportsman, and when not engaged in parochial duties, he was out with his hunter, or greyhound.
While he was in Sixmilebridge, a man of the name of Neville of Kilkishen parish became insane, and was giving his people an amount of trouble minding him day and night. So they decided to bring him to see Fr. Frawley.
He arrived one day bound in ropes and guarded by three strong men by side-car. The priest was not at home, but the housekeeper said that they would probably meet him on the Cratloe road. So they went and fortunately met him at Pouly Wouly Bridge, a famous landmark in the district.
