- Some years ago there lived in Limerick a poet of great renown named Michael Hogan he was called the bard of Thomond.
He wrote many good poems some of which never were printed or at least are to to be found to day. It is said his best poem is Drunken Thady and the Bishops Lady. He composed several short poems condemning the Limerick corporation. He is buried in Mount St. Laurence Cemetery.- Collector
