    In a quiet little not many miles away

    In a quiet little village not
    many miles away
    There lived a rich & aged
    man whoes locks were few &
    grey.
    He had three sons his only
    ones both Jack & Tom were shy
    But Ted was honest as
    could be he would not tell
    a lie.
    They planed their best to
    ruin him all in the old
    man's eyes.
    The posion soon began to
    work & he was much despised
    At length the old man
    said be gone your heartless
    to the lads
