    were found lying on the roads and in the fields. It began late at night and people were taken by surprise as the evening before had not shown any signs of a coming storm.
    About fifty years ago there was a very severe thunderstorm. Rain poured for two days and two nights without stopping. Cattle ran through hedges and across ditches. About one thousand pounds worth of stock were killed.
