    or strangers call in, they always help with the churning as iti is said there will be no butter if they depart without lending a helping hand. The churning takes about an hour and is done by hand.
    The dash is always moved up and down. Warm water is poured to separate the butter and milk and cold water is poured to gather the butter into little lumps.
