I
Come sit down beside me for a while till I spend my last hours on
Eirins green isle.
Come fill up your glasses and
drink hand to hand
On to-morrow I will be parting from my home on Lough Brann.
II
Soon on the forth comming morning
I will bidding adieu.
To my friends and relatives
so loyal and true.
To the fertile valleys where so
often I ran.
To inhale the breezes on the
shores of Lough Brann.
III
My father and mother its now
I hear their cries.
Whilst of true sorrow did
moisten their eyes
But Ill assist please God if I can
But Ill never ignore what I am
On the shores of Lough Brann.
