- My grandmother Nora Griffin Greenville, Listowel, aged nearly 70 told me that there was a very small little house in hide at the back of the Knockane Greenville Listowel. This little house severed as a place for the priests to say Mass. The little house was of boards. When Mass was over every morning the people would take it asunder and hide it in a bush and that bush is to be seen there yet. When mass would be nearly over the priest would tell the people what time the Mass would be the next morning. The priest would sleep in some house or hayshed.
