    twice a week in Winter and Summer. Everyone in the house helps at the churning. Strangers who come in help at the churning because it is an old custom if you go out without taking the churn you will bring the butter out with you.
    It would take to churn about a half an hour. It is churned by hand. The people know when the milk is churned because they see little lumps of butter on the top of the milk.
