    never let a poor person out empty-handed. Her well is near her house and people used to go there long ago just as they go to knock .or Lourdes nowddays. Once a little girl got a bite from a dog, her parents brought her to the well and washed the sore and she was cured immediately
    Once on an other occasion St Surney sent a little girl to Island Eddy to get a burning coal. she got a coal from somebody but she got nothing to put it into. Then she put it into her dress but it burned her to death.
