    Kilimore Daly is situated about two miles from Attymon in the townland of Killimore, where once stood a ancient monastery. In later years this monastery was taken over and preserved by a county Galaway family names Dalys, who inhabited a castle at Killimore, and one at Laragh, and in later years one at Gameykelly. The old church was used of their family and relatives. This took place about th middle of the 15th century. In later years it was given by the Daly family as a public
