    Church in the penal days all the parish people attended Mass at that Church because it was hidden in a big forest.
    In those days one of the Dalys was assassinated for the Faith. His picture is still to be seen at Dunsandle Castle where some of their descendants now dwell. On this account Killimore got its name as Killimore-Daly.
    A modern church now stands near the remains of the old one. At the back of the little Church stands a grave yard in which lies the remains of a roparee
