  1. Lara Castle is situated about mid way between Attymon & Killtulla on the land owned by Mr Pat Burke. There is little left now of Lara Castle, just a little square like what (who) was once a room and beside it is grown (and) an ash tree. A good many centurys ago, this was the ancestral home of Dalys of Killimore Daly. They were at the time wine Merchants and ship owners. They owned three ships, and used to trade with France and carry over Passengers & take home a cargo
