  1. There were two boys brothers one time. Jack, & Tom. Their stepmother was very cruel to them. One day a man came, for Jack. Jack would not go without Tom. The man went away. The stepmother was mad then. She hunted them out of the house. The poor things, went in to a burning lime-kiln. They were found dead in the morning, they had been suffocated to death, the stepmother came to a voilent end, because of her ill, feelings against them." Selvish
