    Laragan on the top of Sliabh Chairn once lived at the bottom of the hill but he compelled them to leave it. Some people that he evicted went to Canada and America. Long ago Ballinamore belonged to a Catholic family, named Jordans, but when Queen Elizabeth's soldiers came to Ireland they were driven out, and an English officer named Anthony Ormsby got the place.
