  1. As every district or village almost has a patron saint. Our familiar village and parish has St Patrick as a patron saint.
    There is a school in honour of St Leonard erected in Dunnamaggin. The school was built in 1929. There is a slab on the wall with the inscription inscribed in Irish.
    There is a holy well in Mr Walshe’s field near the Dunnamaggin chapel. The well is called St Leonard’s Well.
