  1. There are a few fairy forts around this district.
    One of these forts is in Mrs Shirley's field a few fields from the road which leads from Kells to Kilkenny.
    It is locally called Shirley's raheen. The old people say that fairies dwell in this raheen long ago.
    One day there were two men ploughing in the field near the raheen.
    It was dinner time and there was no sign of their dinner coming to them. After some time
