  1. In our farm we call by the following names the fields. The quarry Field, the Well Field, the High Field, the Stone Field, the Kiln Field, the Three cornered Field. "O Donovan's Inch, and O Learys field these were so called because both O Donovans and O Learys owned these fields before us.
    A glen between Yellow Hill and Quartertown which marks the boundry between the Parish of Mallow and Mourne Abbey, is often referred to as Mary's glen or Mary Connells Glen. Every body in the district has heard of the
