  2. Once upon a time St. Patrick was in Cutteen, the people invited him to a dinner. They gave him a dog to eat, when he uncovered the dish on which the dog was he made the sign of the cross. The dog instantly came to life. He ran out the door and made a gap through the mountain which is now called "Beárna Madra" St.
