  1. The following is a number of folk cures collected by the Rathmeigne school children.
    Warts - 1. Tie a horse hair tight around wart & keep tightening it every morning for 9 mornings.
    2. Rub wart with knot on straw for 9 mornings & bury straw in dung heap. As the straw rots the wort will disappear.
    3. Put your fasting spit on wart for 9 mornings.
    4. Apply black snail to wart for 9 mornings & then hang it on a sgeach bush.
    5. Scoop a hole in a potato & fill it with water & salt & renew the water each morning & rub warts with it until they disappear.
    6. Make needle red hot & pierce wart with it 3 times for 9 mornings.
    7. Wet the head of a search & rub ton[?] wart
