(ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)ye couldn't tell yershrel nearly. But thats that any way, I'm ramblin' off me sthory a bit, but ta be gettin' on wit it. It happened ta be a wet night an' I kenw that there was a big flash o' wather across the road that I had ta get home.
I said the same ta George, an' both o' us agreed that I'd take the near cut across the pratie thrack, an' George said that he'd go home be the bottoms thats the meadow field.
Now it happened that the pratie field an' the meadow field war runnin' side be side that year. an' there was three forts in the meadow. I sthuck out me own way down the pratie field an' I was only about at the firsht hape or so, when I could no longer hear George's whistle. I supposhed he was gone out o' hearin' sthill an' all I thought it sthopped very suddenly.
It had grown very dark be this time, for the moon had set, so I began ta considher ta mesel' that it would take me all me time ta get out o' the field I knew however that the gap was directly opposite the heap at which I was sthaudin, so in ordher ta guide mesel I left me hand on the hape, but I musht have thravelled for miles, for no matther fol way I(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
