  1. Barmoney

There are several places around Galbally, all supposed to be haunted.

There are several places around Galbally, all supposed to be haunted. One of the worst of them is Barmoney. All kids of things were seen there.
There was a man coming home wan night and when he was passing by the ould ball alley he something in the shape of a dog walked out and came along with him as far as a knock about three hundred yards from the place.
When he came to the knock the dog disappeared and he saw no more of him.
He got a terrible fright, and he would pass that spot again after dark if he got all the world.

  2. Signs of the Weather

There are several places around Galbally, all supposed to be haunted.

When you see the crows picking grass 'tis the sign of rain. And when you see them whirling in the air 'tis the sign of a storm.
When the starlings leave the mountains in September 'tis the sign of a very bad winter. To hear the seagulls screaching is the sign of rain.
When you see frogs coming into the kitchen 'tis a great sign of rain.
