    They say that it is not good to meet a pig at night.

    They say that it is not good to meet a pig at night.
    That it for something bad. There was a man
    coming along by Maesllor wan night and when he
    came to Crosaire na dirí gCrann he met a pig and
    it followed him to his own galó. The man got
    sick and he never got out the bed 'til he
    died.
    When any one of the Cotters of Kilworth are
    going to die a dog is always heard barking
    in the yard.

  2. Long ago, about 30 or 40 years ago
    the pooka used to be seen down in the
    Carra (a big field of abour 30 acres a mile from
    Kilworth) and the boys used go down to
    hunt him.
    You'd hear them saying, 'are ye
    coming down to the Carra to catch the pooka"
