To cure warts they dipped them in the foam of a river, or it was said, that if you found a stone with a little well of water on the top of it and to dip the warts in it that it would cure them.
There were many cures for the whooping cough. It was said, if you met a man on a white horse and asked him for a cure, that the first cure he would say would cure the cough.
