- Thomas Morley of Kildara was the best mower round here long ago he could mow a big field of hay or oats in one day and a very good mower also was Pat Owens he lived in Carrick. Tom Molloy was a good runner he ran a race that was in Claremorris and he won it he lived in Carramore. Michael Brown who lived in Ranac was a good mower he went round the country mowing for his wages.
