    In regard to lucky days the first days of the week were regarded as being mostlucky though indeed in the matter of days in this district not very much importance was attached.
    Considerable importance was attached to the throwing of a show or a tongs after the bride or bridgeroom when leaving home for the marriage:
    The old rhyme appears to be well known in the district nowadays at any rate
    Monday for wealth
    Tuesday for health
    Wednesday the best day of all
    Thursday for crosses
    Friday for losses
    Saturday no luck at all.
