  1. There are three dressmakers in this parish. When the people have dresses to make they go to the shop and choose a few nice yards of cloth. they leave them to the dressmaker and she takes their measure. She also makes shirts, sheets, pillow cases, coats, dresses, curtains, blinds. When the dressmaker has the people dresses finished they come and bring them home and they pay the dressmaker. Dressmakers are very cheap they make dresses for old and young for fewer and higher prices.
