- In the townland of Drumsheen on the southern border of Glenree there is an old bridge known locally as "The French Bridge"
The local tradition is that French soldiers, flying from Ballinamuck, were pursued to this place by Yeomanry, where they were killed.
Their bodies were interred in a field beside the bridge.Tras-scríofa ag duine dár meitheal tras-scríbhneoirí deonacha.
- Suidhe Fionn
This is a remarkable round eminence standing in the wild and lonely moors near Bearna na Gaoithe. Some people say it was one of the camping places of Fionn and his Fianna -Others say it was a boundary mark separating the territories of the O'Dowds of Coolcarney and the O'Haras of Leyney. Not far away is Broca Dubh where a black boar is seen at critical times(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)Tras-scríofa ag duine dár meitheal tras-scríbhneoirí deonacha.
