  1. There are four Blessed Wells in this Parish. There is one in Downpatrick. One in Kilbride in James Murphy's land. One in Balllinglen in John Noone's land and one in Doonfeeny.
    Downpatrick Well is called after St Patrick. Kilbride Well is called after St. Brigid. Ballinglen Well is called St. Brigids and the well in Doonfeeny is called St Columba's.
    There are special days for performing stations at these wells. These are the last Friday Saturday and Sunday in July. To perform a station people take off their shoes and stockings
