   met a little man sitting on a rock and a stick in his hand. "Good morning" said Tom "O where are you going to" said the little man "I am going to the fair to sell my cow" said Tom "I will buy her" said the little man. "What will you give me?" said Tom "I will give you this stick" "What! said Tom "That stick" "Sure that stick is no good" "It is" said the little man. "What ever you wise for to day you will get it." "Well" said Tom I would like to have a big farm and plenty of food. "Well take the cow" "I am given you one advice before you go" said the little man. "You can only wish to day and never again" But when you go home put a cloth on the table and put the stick on the middle of the table and what ever you wish for you will get it. But before Tom could say anything the little man was gone and so was the cow. So Tom went home. His father said to him "You are home very early. Did you sell the cow?" "I did" said Tom "And how much did you get Tom" said his father "I got this said showing him the stick Why what have done?" "Sold the cow for this. His father took the stick and went to hit Tom but as soon as he did the stick jumped out of his hand and began to hit himself and the farmer shouted to Tom to stop it. So Tom shouted "Stop" and the stick stopped. When it stopped his father asked him where he got it and Tom told him the whole store. And the father got the cloth and put it on the table and put the stick on the middle of the cloth. And they wished for a farmhouse and a lot of land and for cows
