A person would never try to catch him but he has a secret - he knows where there is gold hidden. If a person got him in a good temper he would tell them the secret.
Sometimes he does not like to tell where the gold is and he makes people work and dig under rocks and trees and get nothing. The Leipreachan is a very venemous little fellow. When a person hurts him or does anything to him he pays them back, by giving them no gold.
Once upon a time there was a cobbler he heard many stories of the Leipreachan he heard that if you caught him he would give you a pot of gold Now this cobbler did not like working as he was not making much money.
