- The other Protestant manageron getting the farm built a gentleman's residence. When building the house he always said he "was building a home for a wise man" as the faily though large would squander all his hard earned money. He had seven sons and he got farms for five and two became doctors. After building his house he got the better of evicting eight or nine families and grabbing their lands so his farm consisted of about 240 acres of good land. Evictions continued and he grabbed the lands and built a house for another son close by. When the house was finished he named it "Liberty Hall". He built another house close to Ballina. He settled another son about 2 miles north of the town of Crossmolina(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
