   Carnasock There were three houses in a place called Carnasock on my father's holding in Knockfree. Three families lived there and they lived in the time of the famine. They were very poor and the most of them emigrated to America and the rest of them died with starvation. Two of the houses were made of stone and the third one was a sod house. The ruins of the houses are not to be seen now because my grandfather made walls with all the stones and the walls are still to be seen.
