- In our locality the Farmers raise their own cabbage seeds They set the plants in March and some of them in April. But most of the people set the plants in March. They then let them grow all the Summer; and weed and mould them in July.
Then when Christmas comes they take six or seven of the best heads of cabbage in the garden and put them behind a rafter in a barn.
After a few months the people set the few heads of cabbage in a sheltry garden and put wire all around it;(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
