1. Diseases with their Local Cures (ar lean)

   Corns:- People who have corns, when getting up in the morning throw a fasting spit on the ashes, and then rub it on the corns with the middle finger of the right hand.

   Toothache:- The people of this locality, when suffering from toothache make up a mustard poultice in this way and put it outside on the jaw to kill the pain, they get a little mustard and wet it with a little water.

   Dropsy:- People pull broom, and boil it, and when it cools they put sugar init(sic). When this is done they drink the juice, and this is generally said to be a good cure for dropsy.

   Coughs, or colds:- Marshmallow a plant which grows in abundance, has a little white blossom, and this herb is an excellent cure for coughs, or colds. They pull the stems, and leaves, and then boil them, when this is done they strain it, and put
   sugar on the juice, and drink it.
