- The most important herbs which grow on land around here are: Mountain Sedge, Chickenweed, buachaill an tighe and Capógs.Mountain Sedge: It is a very useful herb which grows only on good soil. There is a cure in it for a cough. The way to make the cure is to get mountain sedge and boil it and drink the juice when it is cold. The mountain sedge does not destroy the land or make it poor.Chickenweed: It is another herb which people find growing on their lands. It is not as important as the mountain sedge.
Long ago people used chickenweed as a cure for cattle having murrain. It grows only on poor soil and makes the land poor.Buachaill an tighe: This means the boy of the house. There is a cure in it for sore eyes. The way the cure is made(continues on next page)- Collector
