    There is at least two eyes in every split. The splits are stuck in the ridges and are left there for a little while. Then manure is put out on the ridges and spread. That is done twice or three times. They are dug in October and put in pits. The principal potatoes are: Queens, Kerr - pinks, Skerries, Epicures, Arran Banners. The Skerries are the best kind of potatoes. They stand good longer.
    Starch was made from potatoes long ago.
    Take and peel the potatoes, clean and scrape them into a vessel. Then pour a can of spring water in the vessels. Leave it there for a while and strain it in a very fine strainer. Then leave it until it dries and you can use
