  1. (no title) (continued)

Thre was a young fellow long ago and he was driving a pair of goats along the road.

    (continued from previous page)
The young fellow said that he did not go to school at all.
The priest then asked the young fellow to say the Our Father or Hail Mary and the young fellow said that he could not. The priest then wrote out the Our Father and the Hail for him but the young fellow said that he would hardly remember to say them. So the priest pointed at the black goat and told the young fellow to call that goat the "Our Father" and the grey goat the "Hail Mary" and every time he would be going along the road to say the Our Father at the black one and the Hail Mary at the grey one. That night the goats were crossing a fence and the black goat choked the grey one. A few days afterwards the priest was passing by the boys house and he met the young fellow and asked him if he had his prayers off. The young fellow said that he had not. "Why not?" said the priest. "Because Our Father choked the Hail Mary" answered the boy.
