Paddy Denn
Paddy Denn was a very learned man and a great Irish teacher. He had his schoolhouse near the present Medical Hall in Main St. Cappoquin. He composed a long poem "Eachtra an bháis". The last time I heard it recited was at a wake in Barrack St. about fifty years ago. All the people did not understand him as the Irish was difficult.
Paddy Denn was related to Denns out in Bawnfawn beyond Murphy's forge in the parish of Boheravockra. This means the road of the battle. His grand nephew is still there.- Faisnéiseoir
