   To cure whooping cough : milk was given to a ferret and the remainder of the milk was given to the sick child.
   To cure a drunkard milk was taken from a sow and put through the food for the drunkard.

   Cure for Whooping Cough : Drink the milk of a donkey. For Thrush : To get a child that never saw its father blow its breath into the other childs mouth. Measles : to go in and out under a donkey's belly three times. Ringworm : to write the sufferer's name in jet black ink round the outside of the patch and continue writing round until the centre is reached.
