“Leut. Thomas O'Neill, youngest son of Mrs O'Neill, joined the Royal Airforce in 1915.”
(ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)anything, "but Josie, she said, I saw you come into my room at about 3 oclock this morning and go over to the little table" to which he replied, "It must have been your imagination that got the better of you or perhaps you were dreaming"
Mrs O'Neill knew perfectly well that she was'nt imagining things and the fact that her son did'nt give her any satisfaction made her very annoyed with him.
Two days later however, Mrs. O'Neill knew the truth. She received a letter from the war office stating that her son Tom was killed in Action in the early hours of Wednesday morning, the plane was brought down in flames.
And so it was as she firmly believed the spirit of her deceased son who entered her bedroom in the early hours of that Wednesday morning.- Bailitheoir
