  1. (1) Whooping Cough.
Some people say that if the child who has the cough drinks milk which a ferret has tasted that he will be cured.
Others say that if a child creeps under a donkey he will be cured.
    (2) Mumps
It is said that any person whose father and mother were of the same name before marriage can cure mumps. The person who has the mumps is lead to a stream or river flowing south. Then he stoops down and takes three drinks of water. This is repeated three times in the name of The Father, Son and Holy Ghost, when the person is supposed to be cured.
