- About sixty five years ago my grandfather was at the Bach- strands for a cart of sand.
He saw a man running a fast as he could down the banks. It was Tom Shannon. He looked the second time and he saw George Hendary following him and George was shouting and roaring and he declared when he would get Tom Shannon he would split his skull with the stick he had in his hand.
Tom was after trapping a few rabbits on his ground. George Hendary was a very bad tempered man he wanted to take revenge.
Tom Shannon had his boat anchored far out on the sea and he ran with the intention of pumping into the boat but he jumped.(continues on next page)- Collector
