  1. There was a man named Mickey Mc Grath lived in Screen about a mile from here. He died about forty years ago.
    Mickey was fond of driving horses and liked of course to have a good whip.
    He lived by the side of the river where his family still reside. There is an alt all along one side of the river. On this cliff there are many ageic and holly bushes. Lights were and are often seen there dark nights.
    One day Mickey noticed and fancied a very nice holly slip which he thought would make a very good whipstick. He therefore cut the stick, cleaned and pared it and brought it home.
    Nothing unusual happened until Mickey went to take his supper of porridge that night. His wife gave him a bowl of milk with a spoon in it. No sooner did Mickey catch it than the spoon leaped out of the bowl on to the table and from that on to the floor then back on to the table again and into
