- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)with the greatest respect and love. In this village and in its environment my best and most faithful companions dwell. These are some of the very few reasons why I bear Frosses a great love.
Long, long ago there lived a saint in Frosses. At that time there was a famine in the district.
This saint was grieved when he saw the people dying of hunger; so he prayed to God that He might send them food; it fell to `the ground in the form of manna. The people gathered this food and satisfied their hunger.
"Fras" means a shower.
"Frasa" means showers. So this name is derived from the showers, which fell in the form of manna.
Frosses is a small village not containing more than twenty houses. These(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)- Bailitheoir
