When the "Revenue" came back? the "poteen" was removed.
I heard on another account? of a man in Ballymachill that made "poteen" and used to sell it in Dunkineely. The "Revenue" heard of it and they watched for him day and night. The man got a small boy who used to sell turf in the town. He used a donkey and two creels. The man put a jar of "poteen" in each creel of turf and passed the "Revenue on the road and got safely into the town of Dunkineely.
On another occasion men in the Drumarone district made "poteen" and used to sell it in Donegal town. The police in Donegal got(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
