- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)James McFadden. He was very poor so he decided to play a trick on the man and woman.
So he went to work with the man and woman. He was fixing the house for them. He said "I don't want pay." The man and woman were delighted at this and they said it was very kind of him.
He was working in the room that they slept in. It was getting dark and he had no light. He pretended that he saw a hole in the floor.
They ran for a candle and they ran into their bedroom. In their hurry they let the candle fall. The house was burned and they went to live with Paddy and they were never miserable again. And James got the money.
